Email and Workdrive Offline Setup


Overview

Zoho Workplace is ultimately designed to be an online workplace environment giving you access to applications and information as it happens.
Unfortunatley as Zoho Workplace platform is designed to be a live collaboration suite so therefore some of the Zoho Apps are not available for offline mode.
In rare cases a user may need to take their workplace offline for when there is only a limited internet connection available.
For these cases we have solutions to take your e-mail and documents offline.

E-mail

The Zoho e-mail Desktop application has a maximum limit to retain up to last 30 days of email when used offline, but has the simplest setup because you only need to sign-in with your @talismahire.co.za email address and password.

Just run the downloaded file to install the application 
After that you will find the icon on your desktop 




Once you have signed in just click on the make available offline icon  in the top right  and set how many days you would like to keep available for when you are offline.
Should you require more than 30 days of email to be stored locally then we recommend that you use Mozilla Thunderbird (Setup Procedure to Follow)

Run the downloaded file and follow the prompts to install the application. when it is complete you will find the following icon on your desktop 


The first time you run the thunderbird application you will be prompted for your email details.


After entering your Password click on configure manually and enter the details as below.

Click on Re-Test to confirm the settings and then click on Done.


Once the email has been successfully connected you will see the following window


Before clicking on Finish:
If you would like to connect your calendars and contacts follow these steps.
Contacts / Address book
      Select connect to CardDav address book
      Enter your @talismahire email address for the username
      Enter the following remote address book URL in the URL field (Note {email ID} should be replaced with youremail@talismanhire.co.za email address as in the example below
            
            Click on Continue

            Enter your Password for your email account and click on OK
            

            Make sure that Default is selected and Continue
            

Calendar
      Select the "Connect to Remote Calendar" Option
      Make sure "On the Network" is selected and click on Next
      
Open a new windows in the same brower where you have connected to your Talisman Workplace and go to https://calendar.zoho.com
Open Settings from the settings icon in the top right hand corner.


Navigate to My Calendars and copy the Url underneath CalDAV Url 


Go back to your Mozilla Thunderbird and on the "Create new calendar" window enter your @talismanhire.co.za email address  as the username and paste the Url Copied  in to the Location field.
Make sure Offline Support is selected and click on "Find Calendars"

Ensure that CalDAV is selected as the Calendar Type and that all the relevent calendars are select then click on subscribe.

After installing the App you will be required to sign in using your @talismanhire.co.za  email and password and will be greeted with the following windows.. just click on next for each and Start Sync
